HOW DO I BOOK A TATTOO?

I now book both flash and custom requests via FLASHBOOK

You can self book through this platform. I ask for a non-refundable deductible $100 deposit to hold your slot — this will be applied and subtracted from the final cost of your tattoo.


BUDGET / RATE:

LA = $300/HR

SF = $400/HR

For now, it’s same rate for custom / flash. Would love to co-create something special just for you or give you an available design.

I am price transparent — prices vary depending on the complexity of the subject matter. I am able to provide an estimate once I know ideal concept / size / placement / degree of detail, etc.

I offer sliding scale options to TRANS DISABLED BIPOC community. Slots are limited and you may inquire anytime :)

While not expected—tip is greatly appreciated. Typical tipping percentage is 18 - 20% service industry standard. A generous portion of the hourly wage goes towards shop fees and materials. tipping or paying with cash is greatly appreciated. 


HOW SHOULD I PAY?

CASH is my preferred method. if needed, zelle is also accepted. the full cost of the tattoo, minus the initial deposit, must be paid on the day of tattooing.


DO YOU OFFER CONSULTATIONS?

My consultations / bookings are via website / email. If I select your custom proposal, I will ask for a vision board from you (all details provided upon booking) which functions like an in-person consultation / allows me to better mind meld with you individually.


WHEN WILL I SEE MY DESIGN?

Unless you pay a draw fee, I do not send out rough drafts / drawing previews. You will see your design the day of our appt. This encourages decisiveness / maintains my artistic license.

The first 15 mins = unpaid, to allow for any edits / feedback on minor details. After 15, I begin charging for our time frame, including further redesign feedback.


CAN I PAY EXTRA TO GET A DESIGN PREVIEW BEFORE OUR APPT?

Yes. If you prefer extra 1-on-1, I ask for an additional $50 drawing fee sent to my Venmo @memoryinscriptions = 1 design preview + 1 minimal edit pre appt. I email this 1-2 days prior to our session.

I ask for a detailed vision board to get clear with everyone, draw fee or not. If your tattoo will take more than 2+ hours I suggest you consider the draw fee so we can share / prepare and avoid last minute edits which will limit our tattoo time.


WHAT IF THE DESIGN DOESNT FEEL RIGHT, EVEN AFTER EDITS?

While these circumstances are very rare, it is my job to co-create a vision you want on your body. To help translate your needs, I will listen clearly. It is your job to communicate clearly.

  • I draw digitally so edits are very easy / fluid provided you are clear and decisive.

Out of respect for my time / the time of my other clients, if I feel our edits push past the timeframe needed to execute your tattoo, I will apply your full deposit as a drawing fee vs tattoo. You will need to place a new deposit to reschedule for a future date.


HOW CAN I ENSURE YOU DESIGN SOMETHING I WILL LIKE?

  • 99% of collabs= accurate mind meld / love design

  • 1% of collabs = miss the mark / dislike design (mostly due to miscommunication)

A tattoo collab is great practice in getting in tune with yourself / articulating your wants & needs. While I appreciate folks who are low maintenance / chill, this is a design for your body and I am looking to you for guidance, esp if custom vs flash.

I mind-meld with many people / design before we meet in person. Getting clear on what you want is IMPORTANT— I provide general guideposts in my follow-up email to your deposit ensuring you offer me enough inspiration info to create something unique / accurate to your vision.

WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE?

To keep deposit = 1 week notice before our appt.

You may reschedule ONCE without losing your deposit (any COVID-19 related issues will be handled appropriately). All subsequent reschedules will incur a new booking deposit.


WHAT IS YOUR TOUCH UP POLICY?

I offer lifelong touch up service for my own tattoos. First touch up is free and if more/later touch-up is needed, a flat fee of $50 will be collected each time.


WILL I GET MY DEPOSIT BACK IF I CANCEL?

Your booking deposit is a non-refundable deductible and applies toward securing your slot at the studio. If you do not wish to proceed with your appointment, your deposit becomes a consultation or drawing fee. No amount will be returned—thank you for understanding.
